Unidirectional-carbon-epoxy-laminates, in this research, [0 4 /90 4] s carbon/epoxy laminate was selected. the material used was t300 uni-directional carbon fibers with epoxy resin ly-5052 and hardener aradure-830. this is a high performance composite used mostly in the aeronautical and aerospace industries.. Carbon fiber laminates are manufactured with 250 f cure carbon fiber pre-preg (carbon fibers impregnated with epoxy resin) and cured with heat and pressure. we employ zero (parallel to length direction), zero/90 and zero/90/+45/-45 layups for unidirectional laminates and zero/90 layups for bidirectional (woven) laminates., epoxy with 34-700 unidirectional carbon laminate prepreg, ltm26 series prepregs are low to medium viscosity epoxy resin matrices formulated to cure at low initial cure temperatures. these prepregs can be used to manufacture components by autoclave.
